Though self-penned and recorded in Los Angeles, Dengue Fever's latest album 'Venus On Earth' was inspired by the band's experiences on two continents.
This track 'Tiger Phone Card' tells of a long-distance romance between Phnom Penh (vocals) and New York, with the method of communication as prominent in the title as the brand of beer drunk before the calls are made. Economic necessity means it's a situation many Phnom Penhois know well. Cambodians just can't resist a sad song, but it doesn't take a Khmer speaker to feel the emotion in Monsoon Of Perfume, a song of overpowering love going unrequited. Integratron (named after a rejuvenation machine near Joshua Tree, CA) takes the band back to one of their original influences, the Ethiopian jazz of Mulatu Astatque.

“One week in the middle of the summers between 1991 - 1995, this craziness exploded in the Real World Recording Studios, in Box, nr Bath, UK. Exit Through You opens with the distinctive vocal of Joseph Arthur with Peter joining at the chorus for a funky spiky pop tune accompanied by Karl and Justin Adams on guitars. The song was originally put together in a fast and furious live session in just over one hour back in 1995; further production work by Stephen Hague followed and a final mix came from Tchad Blake. This track is taken from the long awaited Big Blue Ball, an album recorded over three Real World Recording Weeks, produced by Peter Gabriel and Karl Wallinger and featuring a dizzying array of international musicians"

The last track taken from Martina Topley-Bird's debut album 'Quixotic' released in 2003, released on the Independiente record label. The original track on the album is fairly mellow, with this mix I've added a deep sub-bass, a driving Jazzy Hip-hop Drum groove and bright Guitars, to up-date the tune and give it depth.. CCQ, one of Bristol's finest live acts, serve up a unique fusion of drum'n'bass, hip-hop and jazz influenced live breakbeat. Formed in 1999 by highly respected jazz players, Craig Crofton (saxes and beats) and Neil Smith (guitar), alongside Bristol-based DJ DJ Madds at a local club residency. Over the last five years, CCQ has evolved into an unbelievably tight, live force of sound and energy, comprised of seven top caliber musicians who are constantly pushing musical limits and defying boundaries.
This remix features Sian Evans a talented vocalist, who's behind Drum n Bass group Kosheen. The track also features MC Der th(inc.) (aka Derick) providing a great rhyme.

Listen to my remix of 'Something About The Way' - the debut single from Music Production team Terabeats featuring vocalist James Collins. It’s a House track with a commercial arrangement, soulful vocal and funky bass line which has been labeled the new “Cure And The Cause”. It features vocals by one of the members of Terabeats, James Collins - who in 2006 was featured on a Channel 4 Television (T4) Urban Music show called Chancers 2006, where he was mentored by the likes of John Legend, Matthew Knowles (Beyonce's manager and dad!) and UK Soul artist Lemar.
